For gems, handmade goods, and export products, buyers notice when something looks off. Colour shifts, soft edges, or details that were not in the real item destroy trust fast. That is why “generate the whole product from a prompt” is a bad default for serious sellers.
Start with the real product, then extend the scene
Adobe’s Firefly Object Composite tools are built for that order: photograph the product properly, then place it into a new background or campaign scene. You can generate a backdrop from words, drop the product into a photo you already own, or blend more aggressively when the creative brief allows.
For catalogs where truth matters, keep the hero shots on your shop and marketplaces as straight photography. Use composites for ads, email headers, and regional campaigns after someone has checked colour and edges.
Rules we use with clients
- Shoot clean studio masters before any AI step.
- Never publish AI output for colour-critical goods without a human sign-off.
- Keep a real person in the loop for gems, food, and regulated claims.
- Compress and size for the web after approval, same as any other photo.
We are not an AI novelty shop. Photography, brand, and the site come first. Generative scenes are a multiplier after the product itself is honest.
